Dogs! A Science Tail | California Science Center

The California Science Center has always been a favorite of mine. I remember spending yearly school field trips at the California Science Center, playing around with all of the fascinating science instillations. It's pretty awesome to share something from my own childhood, with my little ones.

The California Science Center captures their imaginations at first sight. The beautiful ceilings, and aircrafts outside of the museum can truly stand alone.

The museum has so many nooks and crannies, all geared toward the tiniest of museum goers. We find something new every time we visit.

The catalyst for this particular visit, was a nudge from a dear friend. A lover of dogs, she was privy to the fact that Princeton and Skyler have somewhat of a fear of man's best friend. A lack of socializing with dogs, has left them fearful of dog's playful tendencies. Lets just say, the boys don't like it when even the smallest dog jumps up to say "hi" or sniffs them.

So, learning all about dogs, how they see, what they hear, and everything in between, was a great first step to our little guy's becoming aware of why dogs do what they do. Fear of the unknown was basically taken out of the equation, at Dogs! A Science Tail.

We all learned so much about dogs at this great, hands-on exhibit. We enjoyed some snacks and shared an ice cream outside, and walked around the Exposition Park Rose Garden, enjoying the scents of the flowers, while discussing how these Roses must smell to dogs.
