Super Grover's Everyday Heroes Weekends: A Celebration of First Responders

If there's one thing our family likes to support, it's companies and brands that recognize the hard work and dedication of everyday heroes. In all of our travels, we have partnered with some amazing companies, and this is definitely one of them. We are pround to announce that Sesame Place San Diego in hosting their very first Super Grover's Everyday Heroes Weekends, a special event to celebrate first responders.

Throughout the month of January, Sesame Place San Diego will offer free admission to all first responders who present a valid form of identification. This is a great opportunity to show gratitude and appreciation for the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. What is Super Grover's Everyday Heroes Weekends?

This is an all-new event celebrating the everyday heroes in our communities and the Sesame Street Neighborhood

· Meet and greet opportunities with local police officers, firefighters, and other first responders

· Sesame Street friends will be wearing their hero attire for a dance party, storytime, parade, and much more.

· Free admission tickets available to first responders on event days, with advanced registration via ID.me, plus 50 percent off tickets for up to three friends and family members

· Everyday Heroes Weekends take place every weekend in January plus Monday, January 16

What are the dates of the event?

Super Grover’s Everyday Heroes Weekends will run every Saturday and Sunday in January, plus Monday, January 16. The event will kick off on Saturday, January 7 and conclude on Sunday, January 29. Guests are invited to attend the celebration each weekend from 10am-5pm and take part in a hero dance party, storytime, parade, special community members, giveaways and more. In addition to these activities, guests can enjoy all the daily theme park offerings.

How to free admission

To get free admission tickets on event days, advanced registration via ID.me is required. Our Everyday Heroes will also receive 50 percent off tickets for up to three friends and family members to Sesame Place San Diego. You will be required to show your valid first responder credentials at the ticketing window. This includes identification for police, fire, and healthcare services personnel. Those who qualify for free admission must present valid identification upon arrival at the park each day. Please note that free admission is only available during Super Grover’s Everyday Heroes Weekends.

Once admitted, first responders and their families will be eligible to enjoy all of the park's attractions and shows, including Grover's Super Grover coaster, Big Bird's Beach Bash, Elmo's World Live!, and many more. Guests can also take advantage of exclusive discounts on food, merchandise, and other park experiences.

All the fun

Super Grover's Everyday Heroes Weekends at Sesame Place San Diego is a fun-filled event that celebrates first responders and the everyday heroes in your life. Guests are invited to dress up as an everyday hero, join the Everyday Hero Dance Party with Elmo, Zoe, and Grover, meet their favorite Sesame Street friends for Meet & Greets, and enjoy Storytime with Super Grover. Plus, visitors can pick up a Sesame Street cape and a copy of the book Love the Fur You’re In at Hooper’s Store. It’s the perfect event for kids and adults alike to celebrate first responders and heroes!

Visitors can also take part in an array of activities honoring local heroes including the parade, shows, and interactive character meet-and-greets. Guests will have a chance to interact with their favorite Sesame Street characters dressed as heroes, take part in fun games and activities related to their favorite heroes, and even get their picture taken with real first responders. There will be something for everyone at this memorable event.

At the conclusion of each parade, all guests are invited to join in on a special “Hooray for Heroes” dance party. They can get up close and personal with their favorite Sesame Place characters, sing along to all the hero songs, and end the celebration with a giant group hug.
